Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, has been fired from his role overseeing security at the late country singer’s properties — just weeks after announcing his aunt’s death. Mr Seaver, who announced the 9 to 5 hitmaker’s death on August 25, received notice of his termination on September 16, according to TMZ. The notice ordered Mr Seaver and his security company to immediately vacate the properties they had been tasked with protecting, the outlet reported. Those properties include Parton’s Nashville home, museum, warehouse, and a downtown residence, with replacement security guards reportedly already dispatched to the locations, Realtor reports. Mr Seaver and his team have since spoken out about the sudden termination, taking aim at Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, and saying they are “dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions” that have unfolded since the country music icon’s death. “We remain unshakeably resolved to fulfil her final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much,” they added.
