Cost of living: Adelaide’s most expensive rentals revealed

1 month ago 14

Would you be willing to pay $130,000 to live in a luxury beachfront home for a year?

That’s how much it would cost to lease Adelaide’s most expensive residential rental property – a Henley Beach unit on the Esplanade that’s listed for $2500 a week.

The hefty sum is, on average, $1608 more than Aussies pay in weekly mortgage fees on a $626,055 loan.

It’s also a far cry from the city’s median asking rent of $580 a week for a house and $490 for a unit.

While some would consider the medians expensive, they pale in comparison to the rental prices attached to some Adelaide properties.

Here’s a look at the city’s most expensive properties listed for rent on realestate.com.au.
