Ashwin Shukla and Neha Kapoor always planned on selling their newly-built Kingswood home but, now the time has come, admit the emotional ties are making it harder than first thought.
“We’ve had to keep telling each other we’re not keeping it, it’s destined for another family,’’ Dr Shukla said.
“While we always had the intention to sell it, we also built it the way we would want it … if we, as a family of four, were to live here then what would we want it to look like?
“We put a lot of thought into how the house flows from a day-to-day perspective.’’
The home at 19 Ashbourne Ave was constructed by custom builder Stunning Homes and completed this year.

The Kingswood property at 19 Ashbourne Ave looks stunning from the street.

From the outside, the villa’s stone facade sits perfectly alongside the older, character homes that Kingswood is known for.

“Neha has got a very fine eye for detail and she’s very good at what she does.

“There’s nothing generic, everything selected is quite unique – the lights, the marble, the choice of flooring, everything.
“We want the buyer to come in and think ‘I would love to live here forever’.
“We don’t want them to think of this as just a step in their (home ownership) journey.’’
Family-friendly, the home is close to Mitcham Primary and Unley High schools and is also close to private schools.
