Construction to start early on Brisbane riverfront project after sales surge

Traders In Purple has fast-tracked the second release of its luxury Brisbane waterfront project, Rivara West End, on the back of booming sales in the first release including the sale of 50 per cent of penthouses.

The first release of ultra-luxury homes has sold more than $206m within three months of release, with the national property and construction group announcing construction will begin in January, months earlier than originally scheduled.

The luxury waterfront specialists, who etched their reputation developing high end apartments on Queensland’s Moreton Bay peninsula, have translated that experience into homes for more urban types at West End.

Traders In Purple chief executive Brett Robinson said to achieve such a spectacular debut in the Queensland capital confirmed the group’s belief the fundamentals of prestige property that had won them a legion of loyal followers around Moreton Bay, applied equally in Brisbane.

Traders In Purple’s Rivara West End project is set to deliver two- and three-bedroom apartments, terrace homes, penthouses and river homes priced from $1.54m.

“Rivara offers everything we seek to deliver in our residential developments, and more,” he said.

“It is one of the last remaining true riverfront sites in West End, deserving of the luxurious homes that we will begin building early next year.

“Our commitment to creating homes that are beautiful from the inside out has served us well for more than 20 years and we are delighted that buyers have responded so enthusiastically to Rivara which is set to be the premium address in West End.

“Such strong off the plan sales are a testament to the quality of our work and faultless record of completions.”

Following the sale of 50 per cent of penthouses in the first release, Traders In Purple has fast-tracked the second release.

The second release also features apartments, penthouses, terrace homes and river homes, all with premium finishes.

Mr Robinson said Traders In Purple had played to its riverfront advantage with penthouses on the uppermost 11th and 12th floors whose views, panning across the Brisbane River and iconic silhouettes of Mt Coot-tha’s ranges, could never be obscured.

Each bedroom in the riverfront penthouses has its own ensuite, a second private living room, and open-plan living space spilling to a balcony.

The kitchen with a butler’s pantry, features fluted stone detailing, Miele appliances, a dry bar and wine fridge.

The podium level shared amenities include a 20m infinity edge pool, hot and cold magnesium spas, sauna, yoga lawn, garden lounges, a barbecue and productive gardens.

Mr Robinson said the project was designed by award-winning architecture firm, Rothelowman, and materials were luxe, natural and layered, evocative of the waterfront lifestyle that suited the Queensland climate so well.

Penthouses traditionally carry the highest price tag but it is Rivara’s river homes, that bear the distinction, starting at $6.27m and featuring frontage to the river and a river-facing courtyard with a 3m plunge pool.

Rothelowman principal Jeff Brown emphasised the connection to the green, subtropical landscape evident in the gardens encircling Rivara and the focal point of the podium level shared amenities, including a 20m infinity edge pool, hot and cold magnesium spas, sauna, yoga lawn, garden lounges, barbecue and productive gardens.

“Rivara’s communal spaces are all about connection; connection with self, connection with friends and family, and connection with nature,” he said.

The project is designed by award-winning architecture firm Rothelowman. Construction is set to start in January.

“When you step out of your private domain and into the communal area, you’re greeted by a meticulously crafted arbour draped in greenery.

“Turning to face the river, the axial walk connects the beautiful, landscaped podium to the river, mountains and sunset beyond.”

Two-bedroom apartments are priced from $1.54m, three-bedroom apartments start at $1.995m, terrace homes are from $2.25m and riverfront penthouses start at $4.95m.
