Mystery solved.
The Point Piper penthouse owned by billionaire Ingham chicken widow Sue Ingham fetched a mega record-breaking price back in June — now the high-flying purchaser can be revealed.
The luxury whole-floor apartment at 6/6 Buckland Ave sold for $29.5m, smashing the Point Piper apartment record by $7m, in June when it sold via Luke Hogan and Frazer Watson of McGrath Double Bay.
There’s been no hint of the purchasers, but with the property settling today, various local sources have confirmed the former owner of luxury car dealership Trivett, Greg Duncan, and his wife Glenda will be moving in.
Duncan sold Trivett Group, which comprised 22 dealerships, for $116m in 2013. It was Australia’s largest prestige automotive group, selling Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Aston Martins.
Hogan, in conjunction with Ray White Double Bay’s Ashley Bierman, has the Duncans’ Alec Tzannes-designed Bulkara Rd, Bellevue Hill mansion for sale with a $36.5m guide.
