Manly star Jake Trbojevic and his physiotherapist wife Alix have sold their Narrabeen apartment in Sydney’s Northern Beaches under the hammer for $2.455 million.
Located near the beach, the neatly presented apartment was snapped up by a couple who wanted to move into the area and live closer to their grandchildren.
Mr Trbojevic and his family bought a modern home near Narrabeen Lake for $5.15 million this month.
The property: The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at 2/4 Narrabeen Street, Narrabeen was sold at auction for $2.455 million on Thursday 5 February.

The well-presented home had a house-like layout, with generous living and dining areas that flowed to a covered outdoor entertaining terrace and manicured lawn.

Lachlan Yeates, real estate agent and director at Upstate, oversaw the campaign and spoke to realestate.com.au about the bumper auction result.
What was the most interesting thing about this property?
It's a small block of apartments with a lift, so it suited the downsizer market, which is still very buoyant.

Another interesting point is that we're seeing a shift in the two-bedroom market. Buyers weren’t interested in them five years ago, but the prices for three-bedroom apartments are so strong that we are getting some momentum in the two-bedroom space.
How did the campaign and auction go?
We ran a three-week campaign with a fourth week auction. We had 163 enquiries and over 100 attendees during the 21 days of marketing and then went into a Thursday night auction. We had six registered bidders at auction, and the auction activity was strong.

The bidding got down to bids of $5,000, $2,000 and $1,000. We had a reserve of $2.4 million and the bidding crept over it.
What type of buyers did you see during the campaign?
It suited everyone, and it attracted younger and older buyers. Younger families loved it, but it would be hard to squeeze into two bedrooms with kids, even if it was the location that they wanted.

The garden flowed out to the street, and the property was literally located between the lake and the beach. The street was nice and quiet, and it was in this little crest on a little plateau between the beach on one side and the lake on the other.
Did it help having a high-profile vendor?
It definitely helped with some buyers because people do like to buy from someone with a profile. But it wasn’t a major thing for the people who bought it.
They were just happy and thankful that he was nice and accommodating, and he helped them out with their terms, and was very considerate about what they needed to buy it.
Predictions for the area?
Narrabeen is a really central spot for the Northern Beaches and I think it will thrive. The position of Narrabeen is really fortunate with Wakehurst Parkway going into the city. You can also go up Powderworks Road, which takes you up Monavale Road to go up the north coast.
