South Australia is gearing up for its biggest auction weekend in recent weeks, PropTrack data shows.
According to the data provider’s Property Preview Report, 179 auctions are set to hit the auction block this weekend – 173 in metro Adelaide and a further 6 in regional South Australia.
It is up from last weekend’s 141, and comes before the auction scene tapers off in the lead up to the Easter break.
163 auctions are scheduled for next weekend, with just 53 set to go under the hammer the following weekend.

Salisbury East is the top auction suburb for the weekend, with five auctions scheduled, ahead of Parafield Gardens and Richmond, both with four.
Of all the properties going under the hammer across the nation this weekend, the top two most-viewed can be found in SA – 63 East Tce, Henley Beach, and 30 Wilpena Tce, Kilkenny.
63 East Tce sales agent Jae Curtis of Belle Property Henley Beach/Glenelg said interest in the property had been strong.

“I’ve had probably 80 people through this one in the past few weeks,” he said.
“It’s a character home in Henley Beach, which is hard to find and it’s just off of Henley Square so in a perfect location and it’s been very well received.
“We’ve had a real collection of buyers – from interstaters to Henley Beach locals, homeowners around Adelaide and investors.
“We hold off our registrations until the morning of the auction but we are expecting quite a few.”

Mr Curtis said he had had a number of people keen to put in offers but have referred them to Satuday’s auction.
“I’m pretty sure it should go on the day – you never really know until you turn up but there’s strong interest so I’m thinking it should go well,” he said.
The three-bedroom home hits the auction block at 2.30pm Saturday and is being advertised with a price guide of $1.475m.
