A Prospect home has been spectacularly restored and extended, offering families the opportunity to live in a character-filled property without the hassles of renovating.

Williams Real Estate agent Marina Ormsby said 23 Le Hunte Ave, which was originally built in 1925, had been so extensively transformed it was “almost brand new”.

“This is literally move in ready, bring your furniture and enjoy,’’ Ms Ormsby said.

“It’s basically like a brand new home that’s of the highest quality.

“There were only really a couple of the external walls kept, just to maintain the character facade, and then everything else has been redone.

“I’m really lucky to sell lots of beautiful homes and I would certainly put this up in the A-grade of properties.”

The vendors purchased the then-three bedroom home in 2018 and set about transforming it, adding a stunning master bedroom with a substantial walk-in robe and hotel-inspired ensuite.

At the rear of the home, they created a spacious kitchen and living area, fitted out with marble benchtops, herringbone floors and premium appliances.

Full-length windows and doors look out to a new, resort-style pool and a casual outdoor dining zone with a built-in BBQ.

“It’s a great entertainer – the inside and outside entertaining spaces blend beautifully and the pool is gorgeous,” Ms Ormsby said.

“We’re seeing a lot of people (potential buyers) go through who have seen an architect or a builder (to renovate their existing home) and they’re being told it’s a couple of years (wait time) – well here, you are getting the finished product.”

Ms Ormsby said the owners had paid meticulous attention to every aspect of the renovation, originally intending to live in the home much longer than the past seven years.

“The family has just grown more than they thought they would,” she said.

“They have got three beautiful children now and when they purchased it they didn’t have any children so it’s not meeting their needs like they had hoped.

“But it’s a great family home – it’s still got the four bedrooms and … it’s got a really flexible floorplan.

“And because it’s all on the one level it’s a fantastic downsizer’s home, with low maintenance and a bit of a lock up and go, very secure, home as well.”

Ms Ormsby said the home was close to some of Adelaide’s top schools and an easy walk to cafes and restaurants on Prospect Road.

Offers for the property, which has a price guide of $2.6m, close on Wednesday, April 9.
